--Every
so often some company recycles the advertising slogan, "the
future is now" or a derivation thereof. And although the
product or service may be deserving of the tag line, I
usually become nauseated and depressed when I mentally
juxtapose their high-tech imagery with snapshots of the
miserable masses, surrounded by crumbling infrastructure,
who can't afford it.

Of course
there's nothing new here. The power-elite have always
flaunted their lavish lifestyles, trinkets and toys in front
of their subservients. And, more times than not, the
multitudes look up with envy and admiration at their
masters, while they labor and suffer and do without. This is
something that I have always found puzzling; but
nonetheless, it is the way it is, and probably always will
be.

Ah, but you
don't think of yourself as a slave to anyone -- you're
educated, skilled, have a credit card, cell phone -- you're
free and in time, you'll have a bigger house, faster car and
a higher credit score... Right, go on believing that and all
of the other crap they've been feeding you since your were a
child. YOU ARE BEING LIED TO!

Face it, we've
all been deceived. All of the 'truths' we've been told are
lies: Wars don't make us free, they make profits for
military contractors. Politicians don't care about us or
this country, they just want to get re-elected so they can
maintain their lifestyles. The health care industry doesn't
want to help people get well, they want to get rich on
disease. And worst of all, bankers don't want to help people
and businesses prosper, they just want to make billions
charging fees and interest.

Nothing is the
way it seems, or what we've been told. We're living in a
modern day Feudal System, where the throngs of serfs are
getting poorer while the people in the castles are getting
richer. Despite all of the taxes we pay, we still have to
pay separately for lodging, water, sewage and power.
Meanwhile, energy prices keep rising, our roads and bridges
are crumbling, the water and sewar systems are failing,
hundreds of thousands of people die unecessarily each year,
millions are cold, hungry, over-worked and depressed.
Poverty and crime is everywhere, and still the stock market
rises.

It's time to
wake up to reality. We are slaves to the bankers,
politicians and industrialists. They are doing nothing for
us, other than taking our money. It's time for them to give
us something back for the decades that we supported them.
We need universal free health care for everyone. How?
Nationalize the heath care companies and take their billions
and put it in the system. We need free energy (electric,
heat and air conditioning) for everyone. How? Build
solar and wind farms and update the grid to deliver it to
every home, free. We need free housing for everyone.
How? Nationalize the banking system. Close down and
confiscate their trillions of dollars and divy it up to give
everyone a roof over their head. We need jobs. How?
Instead of giving money to banks and military contractors
for phoney wars, take those billions and hire people to
repair our failing infrastructure. Then, when sanity has
taken over and compassion is once again alive on the planet,
we can live in pursuit of happiness and the future will be
now.
